There’s something about the way a mother bear walks beside her cub — close enough to protect, but giving them room to find their own way.
This piece is about protection, love, and learning. About being there while someone you love discovers the world for themselves. Guiding them when they need it, protecting them when you can, and eventually trusting them to take their own steps.
This painting is also a little special to me personally. It’s the first piece I created using my new Willow Wolf brushes, and I wanted that first painting to be something with a bit of meaning behind it.
At 36” x 60”, it’s a large, colourful statement piece filled with texture, movement, and those warm oranges and deep teals I love working with.
